You say goodbye, I say hello.

Dim Sum Funeral

It is the same old topic on issues between the grown-up Chinese Americans and their Chinese-originated parents. It’s the mis-perceptions, the difficulty of accepting the culture of ‘saving faces’, and the uncovered stories about their mother until too late. Even many of the casts are the same as ‘The Joy Luck Club’ (1993).

I read this interesting book by Amy Tan back in high school, firstly attracted by its book cover. Myth, a great word to catch my attention.

‘Dim Sum Funeral’ isn’t too bad, but nothing compares to ‘The Joy Luck Club’. By the way, I really don’t like Bai Ling.

Legend of The Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen

Two of my favourite male artists: Donnie Yen & Eason Chan.

I’ve always been a fan of Donnie since his version of ‘Fist of Fury’ 1995. Now he is finally reprising his legendary role of Chen Zhen!!!

Donnie’s breakthrough appearance in the new film is worth noting. He has put himself in a comicbook superhero outfit, which has a rather funny resemblance to Kato from Green Hornet. The movie is schedule for release on 1 October, 2010.

Ip Man 2 is also on my list.
